How Much Fabric Does Your Furniture Need?
Real Quick: Consider these numbers a starting point, not a shopping list. Every piece is different and patterned fabrics can require additional yardage.

Let’s Talk Yardage
(No complicated math required. Use this guide to get a good starting estimate before you fall in love with 14 yards of that fabulous floral.)

This is just estimating! It is always good practice to buy a 1/2 yard more than you need to cover seam allowance and overage.
You will need to take in consideration for pattern, repeats, and whether or not the fabric goes up the roll. ↓

There is a process to figuring out yardage, but I promise it gets easier the more you do it. Take your time, measure twice, and don’t be afraid to work through the math. Upholstery isn’t about knowing everything before you begin—it’s about the time you’re willing to put into learning it. And if you get stuck, message me. I’m always happy to help.
Now go find a piece worth keeping and get started. 🤍
