We’re branching out on this one! I’m going to share 3 of my favorite ideas for accent walls and none of them are a simple painted wall. (I’m still working on balancing 2 spaces, I can’t be on this for hours so 3 it is!) Ready?
- Beadboard Wall – this is close to paneling but in a more classy way. Although, I have painted a wood paneled wall a bright color and loved it. Beadboard is skinnier than paneling and normally used on the bottom half of a wall BUT it looks amazing going all the way to the ceiling too. I think it gives the space a little lift. If you’re not wanting to get too wild but want more than just a color on the wall then this is for you.

2. Geometric Accent Wall – a scrap wood buster! I don’t necessarily want to make a shape but I do like to add dimension. Spend a weekend cutting up your scrap wood into varying lengths and play! Add it to the wall in whatever fashion that makes you smile and wa-la, a geometric accent wall is born!

3. Tiles! I know, this is crazy but I saw it done so beautifully on my favorite show, Artfully Designed and it looked SO GOOD! As you probably know, I have a loft that I’m turning into a funky workspace/living space and you better believe a tiled accent wall is going up!

There it is! My top 3 favorite ways to add an accent wall in any space. If you dare to do something different with yours will you share a picture with me?!
